Winnie Mabaso Foundation chosen to be recipient of The Charity Diversity Fashion event at Staffordshire University

The Winnie Mabaso Foundation was one the chosen charities to be sponsored and receive financial support as a direct result of Diversity Fashion event at Staffordshire University. We would like to thank everyone involved in the show for their support and as a result of the monies raised we can continue to provide care and support to the to children at the orphanage.

Our next Charity Fundraiser will be on Thursday 24th March at The Oakwood Pub in Glossop. Our featured artist is Samuel C Lees – an act not to miss! Come and join us for what promises to be a sensational evening! Good beer, good entertainment, good company and a jolly good cause! Hope to see you there!

Footballs 4 Fun visited the orphanage this week. Have a look at their web-site and see the brilliant work they do. Inspirational stuff and we are pleased to receive a visit from them. Footballs For Fun® is a charity that produces footballs for travellers to give to African children – with all the profits going to help needy or sick children in Africa. Sunday 27th February: A Table Top sale to raise funds for the Winnie Mabaso Foundation (Like a car-boot sale but in the warm!) The Oakwood, Glossop. 10am-4pm. We need things to sell on our table and if you would like to have your own table then get in touch… Spread the word!

The next Foundation Fundraiser

Join us at the Oakwood on Jan 27th for the next fund-raising event. We have the Mighty Nelson playing live as well as an alternative bingo night. We also have one of the country’s premier night club entertainers Toni De Angelo. Admission is free. But you have to pay to leave.

The venue for this extravaganza will be the Oakwood public house 67 High Street West SK13 8AZ in Glossop. Doors 8pm.

Volunteers Wanted

The Winnie Mabaso Foundation are currently looking for volunteers to travel to South Africa in April 2010. Ideally we are looking for people who have DIY skills to help renovate, repair and decorate our orphanage. If you are interested in coming and joining Team Mabaso.
