Happy 13th birthday to ‘The Winnie Mabaso Foundation’ and what a 13 years it has been!! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that a filming trip with an extraordinary woman would totally turn my world upside down! 13 years on with an orphanage, a library, a preschool, a homework club, a feeding station, a play area, young people going on to further education, a granny club, a gardening programme, families in new homes, a whole community with blankets, kids able to attend school now they have uniforms, women being empowered with bras and pants and sanitary pads, kids having shoes on their feet and birthday cakes and gifts, an extraordinary work force in South Africa and YOU, all of YOU! Team Mabaso, you are the best and we could not do any of it without you! Happy 13th Birthday to us!! We did good, Winnie! I wish you were still here to celebrate with us #mabasolove burning brighter than ever all around the world!
