I am thrilled to be able to announce the new Trustees who will be joining The Winnie Mabaso Foundation. Alongside Ian Wicks, Elizabeth Marian O’Malley,Barbara Anne Hastings-Asatourian and Charlotte Hindle the following will be coming on board.
Gary Benham: Gary started supporting the Foundation several years ago when he served as the Head of Communications for The British High Commission in Pretoria. He is currently working in the Cayman Islands but will shortly be returning for his next posting in London. Gary and his whole family have been a massive support over the years and I am delighted to have him join us in an official capacity.
Joy Monks: Joy has been a committed Team Mabaso member for many years and has always been someone who has championed our work and is the first to put her hand up when we need assistance. A freelance Script Supervisor and Senior Lecturer in TV Production Management at Edge Hill University we are overjoyed (see what I did there!) to welcome her. She also makes the best lemon drizzle cake in the world!
Andrew Fairclough’s journey with the Foundation began just over a year ago. He is Global Head of Claims Operational Excellence at Zurich Insurance where his role took him to South Africa and a visit to The Winnie Mabaso Foundation… He joined Team Mabaso immediately and has been a huge support ever since. He and his wife, Lisa sponsor 2 of our girls. I am delighted to have him on board
Sarah Rowley: Last but by no means least …. The lovely Sarah Rowley. Sarah works at Manchester High School for Girls where she is a teacher and Head of Year 8. Sarah brought a big group of students out to the orphanage last Summer and has been fundraising for us for several years. Sarah is a dynamic woman who is passionate about the Foundation and I am very excited to having her join the team. Sarah sponsors one of our girls and a family on the squatter camp.
Thank you to everyone who enquired or applied. We appreciate all the support you offer.
Please join me and the current Trustees in welcoming this fantastic line-up. I am so excited to see how things develop over the coming weeks and months…
